A submission to the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC) to seek national recognition for the Clinical Guideline to Prevent Falls and Fractures in Ireland’s Ageing Population using an Integrated Care Pathway Model has been achieved (March, 2013) and will need to be progressed in the coming months. In the interim, link to NICE Guideline and/or AGS/BGS Clinical Practice: Prevention of Falls in Older Persons and/or guidance below taken from draft guidelines that need to be reworked to meet the requirements of the NCEC process.
